Is there a reason she had to give birth in the MRI? Or did she just go into labour in there?
I was reading about it the other day - this had never been done before and she volunteered to do it - the purpose was to show the process of childbirth in the detail given by the MRI. They modified the machine so that top was open, giving her space to move and the midwife to help. She wore earplugs because it's so noisy and when the baby was actually being born they turned the machine off so the sound wouldn't affect it's hearing. Apparently 5 other women have now signed up for it.... it's pretty interesting! Good on her :)
