I cannot believe that the two young men were found guilty of raping a child 16 year old girl (and carrying her by her feet from party to party in between rapes) and got ONLY "at least one year" in juvvie for one of them and "at least two years" for the other (who also filmed the assaults). It's THAT hard to get a rape conviction - and then when they do make a conviction, they give the guy one year?? And not even in prison.

Both boys have to be released by the age of 21, so they can't be held for more than 4-5 years all up. They could be back at houseparties with drunk girls in a year or two. So disgusting.

I am literally thrilled to hear those two boys have been found guilty of that rape. When I read the story about hat happened that night, i was so appalled and horrified and it is heartening to see that some justice has been done. But clearly there is a lot more to be done. The culture in that football community and that town is clearly disturbing. So many senior men in that community seem to have excused the young men crimes.
But the courage of that girl is to be applauded - what an amazing girl.
