FLUFF: Channel Ten respond to rumours that Offspring is over.

THE PROUDMANS ARE HERE TO STAY.

Oh, thank God / Channel Ten.

In the past few days, there have been nasty rumours that Offspring might finish at its fifth season. Funding from the government will end next year, so everyone has been freaking out Nina Proudman-style (with a panicky internal monologue and really great clothes) that their favourite show might be over.

This morning, the head of programming at Channel Ten, Beverley McGarvey, has confirmed that Offspring will be back in 2015.

“It is certainly our intention to keep going and to make that series last as long as possible and as long as people want to keep watching it,” McGarvey said.

Asher Keddie has confirmed that she is happy to keep playing Nina, too.

That’s right.

Offspring is here to stay.

We can all start breathing again.

Sorry y'all - nothing is confirmed. That Ten would "like" to keep making it is one thing, but they've not signed anything. Yet.
