Octomum's death threats.

UPDATE: Nadya “Octomom” Suleman has reportedly been receiving death threats after it was revealed she receives welfare payments for the care of her 14 children.

The mother, who gave birth to octuplets in 2009, reportedly receives $2000 a month from the State of California. The Daily Mail reports:

Among the nasty messages was ‘Die bi***. I’m not working for your f**king kids, you’re the one that wanted them.’

Suleman, who famously gave birth to octuplets in 2009, previously swore she would never go on the dole.

Now that she has fallen on hard times, the mother-of-14 qualifies for help because her total income is less than $8,000 per member of her household.

She said she can’t hold down a steady job because she has to care for her 14 kids.

It comes after the pictures that everyone was talking about last week –  when she posed in nothing but nude coloured granny undies for UK’s Closer magazine to make a bit of cash.

She received $8000 for the shoot and said: “I have to do what I have to do to take care of my family.”

Of her body transformation she “‘pinged back into shape like a rubber band after the kids. I don’t know how I did it. I eat like a horse, don’t count calories and have never owned a set of scales.”

From the Daily Mail:

Nadya claims she has been celibate for 13 years and that all of her children were all conceived through a sperm donor as she simply has no time for a man.

She said: ‘I get too much male attention, but I won’t date until the octuplets are 18 – I live for them.

‘I know a lot of women like male attention, but I’ll go out with no make-up on and wear tracksuits, a wig and even a fake pregnancy stomach to put them off.’

I feel sorry for her. She couldn't stand the thought of the unused embryos being thrown away.

Death threats. Seriously. Get a life people! I don't think she deserves the death penalty for not being able to afford an army of children. She lives with the consequences every day.
It shits me when I hear people make comments about supporting people with their tax money, as if they are martyrs themselves! If they worked for the purpose of helping others with the money they have earnt, it would be a different story. Taxes are an obligatory part of life and should not be used against other less fortunate people.

I'm just wondering how having 14 children as a single person and relying on welfare and taxpayers to pay for them makes her 'less fortunate'? It's not like she didn't have a choice to have them, now taxpayers in America are literally paying for that choice. It's no different to anyone who has a dozen children and then relies on welfare to pay for them, however it still doesn't make it right. She's an idiot and so are her doctors, it should simply not have ever happened.

It doesn't sound like she's "relying on welfare to pay for them" if she's only getting $2000 per month she must also have other income - and I'm sure we pay a lot more than that to unemployed parents with less children in Australia.

But I agree, don't have so many children if you don't have the money to pay to raise them yourself.
