The announcement that Richie Strahan chose Alex Nation as his Bachie love for life may be old news now, but the conspiracy theories around the longevity of their relationship are continuing to swirl with fervour.
The latest comes via an apparent school friend of 24-year-old Alex’s and was raised on WA’s Hit 92.9 breakfast radio show on Friday by host Heidi, Will and Woody.
Interviewing the show’s runner-up and newest national treasure Nikki Gogan, Heidi said she had received a screenshot of Alex’s schoolmate’s Facebook status.

Heidi claimed the status said, "I went to school with Alex. You actually find out next week or some time later that he leaves Alex for Nikki."
Within seconds of being read on air, though, Nikki was shooting the theory down.
"No. Nup. Absolutely not," Nikki said.
"They [Richie and Alex] are really are genuine and they really are crazy about each other," the 28-year-old replied, adding, "I want to be my person's first choice every time...I wouldn't want Richie to come running back; that is absolutely not what I want. I want Richie and Alex to work out."

Asked if she was still in love with Richie, Nikki responded, "Look, last night I was back there for a minute." She then went on, "I love Richie, I love Alex, I do care about them very much."
Nikki also said that she wishes the two "the very best" and that she "wouldn't change anything" about her wild reality television ride.

"I just really believe that they're meant to be together and that there's someone so amazing out there for me, and I can't wait to meet them," she said finally.

He won't leave Alex for Nikki, and even if he did he would not go and find Nikki because since episode 1 it was evident that Richie was never that into Nikki! How did so many people missed that? His body language and interactions revealed that from day 1. Comfort does not mean romantic interest or love. Also, it would be classier if Nikki stopped suggesting that Richie's family liked her more than they liked Alex, that is pathetic and shows lack of tact. People overlooked that because they are still supporting her, but to be honest, we know very little about Nikki, the only thing we learnt about her was that she was in along term relationship, she broke up and she fell crazily in love with Richie before their second date! Seriously? :S I wonder why more women haven't noted how sad that sounds.
If he was never that into Nikki why did he keep her around as long as he did? And keep kissing her as much as he did? And when/where has Nikki been claiming that his family preferred her over Alex? All her comments since the final episode aired have been dignified and she's expressed how happy she is for the both of them. That's why people think she's great and has so many supporters!
And saying she was falling in love with Richie before their second date?! That was Alex! She got extremely jealous everytime Richie so much as talked to another girl in the house. Alex is a man eater and knew how to play the game, that's why she won.
I didn't think I had to explain again to you the format of the show. are you ware this is an edited show? Richie was simply not just into Nikki, she chased her and he responded because the whole point of the show is to give the girls a chance. She saw more than what it was there . It seems to me that only Nikki fans did not see the evident because even punters placing bets on Sportsbet favoured Alex for the winner, she was perceived, by the punters, as the clear winner, and she was leading the odds for weeks, and punters were correct. Nikki did all the chasing but I think many people behave like her and that is probably they feel that chasing a guy is correct and will get them the guy. Moreover, you are wrong, Nikki did say during the second date that Richie meant 'everything for her'. . Alex said she was falling for him, but she never told Richie things as desperate as: 'you will have all of me' (which is what Nikki said during her second date). Moreover, after the HTDs Nikki admitted that she was in love with Richie for weeks! Seriously? Richie didn't do anything wrong. Nikki and all the contestants knew the format of the show and Richie did not do anything inadequate. Richie had no reason to have more consideration towards Nikki than he had with the other girls, he chose the order according to how good he felt with them, whereas he was physically attracted or just comfortable with them doesn't matter. When they join the show they know exactly what to expect. Actually, Nikki may not even have been top 2 for Richie sent Olena home because she basically told Richie that she didn't want a relationship with him, and that was a hassle for her; that is why Richie had no choice but had to take Nikki to top 2. Finally,you seem too attached to reality tv. You have no right to insult Alex because you don't know her; in fact, you don't know any of them yet you obviously feel you can judge them. Actually, you don't really know how is Nikki either but you have idealised her! WOW! Let me remind you that You see only an edited version of the show. Insulting Alex reveals more about you than about Alex. A few contestants have already said that Alex is not really in real life as she is portrayed on the show but a much nicer, fun person who laughs and sings a lot. You are talking the show far too seriously. Besides, the show is over, Richie chose, and his choice does not affect you at all, and if she does affect you then you are in trouble and need to reconsider your life and priorities.
