As the name suggests, this new trend refers to bedazzling your nail tips with gemstones so they look like they're wearing tiny, chic crowns. The gems are placed in a uniform layer on the smile line of the nail, exactly where a normal French tip would lie. 

They're superbly stylish without being too OTT, making them the perfect nails to flaunt for any occasion or celebration.

Aside from keeping your base polish nude (to give the sparkles maximum impact), the colour of your gems is really up to you — you can decide to go as minimal or as bright as you wish.
