Nadia Bartel knows her beauty stuff.

In her work as a fashion stylist, buyer and blogger, she’s worked with top makeup artists and done countless shoots, giving her plenty of exposure to some of the best beauty products and treatments on the market.

While she loves high-end products, she’s also a budget beauty lover at heart.

What are your favourite budget beauty products?

“Definitely my Go-To Lips! Balm, $15. I also love my Maybelline Great Lash Mascara, $12.95. I’ve tried all the super expensive ones but I love this and use it all the time. I pop it on in the morning and it lasts the whole day. Another one is Dove Summer Glow Gradual Self Tan Body Lotion, $10.49. When you tan you want to avoid looking orange so I put it on a few nights before and it gives me a beautiful golden colour.” (Post continues after gallery.)

Do you have any skincare products you can’t live without?

“Yep, I’m a bit crazy with my skincare! I have a lot that I use. I’m all about active skincare with things like vitamin A and C. I’ve found investing in active skincare really fixes in your skin.

Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting BHA Liquid Exfoliant, $37, is great.

If you have lumpy skin or it’s looking dull, I use it morning and night and dab it on sponge and it keeps me from getting pimples and cleans my pores. For anyone that has bad skin, it’s a really good one. Packaging doesn’t look too special but it’s incredible. Otherwise, I love coconut oil, it nourishes skin and I even use it to get rid of fake tan. It’s really good, you can use it in your hair as a treatment and clean your teeth.

What is your hair routine like?

“It’s pretty low-maintenance. My hair is quite thick so I only have to style it a couple of times a week and it lasts. I use Eleven Sea Salt Texture Spray, $23.95, it adds grit after washing and creates waves. Another regular is the Sebastian Drynamic Dry Shampoo, $28.90 – just spray in to ends of hair and it gives volume and wave.

How has your beauty regimen changed since becoming a mum to Aston?

“It’s definitely changed a bit! It now takes about two minutes in the morning to get ready. All about the low-maintenance. I’m loving tinted moisturiser as I don’t always wear makeup, but love mascara, just curl and wear. I’ve learnt that you don’t need to do a whole heap, you do it on-the-go and you don’t have as much time which is probably a good thing.”

What’s your best pregnancy style tip?

“I’m all about the long line jacket and wearing block colours head to toe. All white as well, it doesn’t make you look bigger, it actually lengthens your body out. Basically lots of jackets and even if it’s summer, just wear sleeveless long jackets.”
