Elina Bazhaeva just showed us what a $412,000 wedding dress looks like.

If you’ve ever wondered what a half a million dollar wedding dress would look like, today is your lucky day.

Elina Bazhaeva, the 21 year old daughter of a very wealthy Russian businessman, got married to entrepreneur Bek Ali Khan Mamakaev in Monaco last week in a designer wedding dress that cost 20 million roubles.

That’s just under 412,000 Aussie dollars. On a dress that will likely be worn once. Feel better about your wedding day splurge now?

The glittery number was created by Lebanese fashion designer Zuhair Murad who counts Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Taylor Swift and Eva Longoria among his fans.

Featuring what looks like millions of crystals, beads, lace and flowers, it’s definitely a showstopper.
And if you thought the bodice was impressive, wait until you see the train.

With a hug shoulder neckline, capped-sleeves, a corset-style top and an enormous billowing skirt and flowing train, it’s the stuff of Princess Dreams.

The couple’s love story also lends itself to a Disney-meets-Hollywood narrative.

According to reports, the pair met in February this year, with Mamakaev proposing to the student just two months later.

He is also the son and heir of a wealthy businessman, is the head of the Dorchester Finance group and Alima Cosmetics and can reportedly speak six languages.

And if you thought the 21 year old’s dress was incredible, wait until you see her older sister’s. Marjam got married six months earlier in front of 600 guests compared to Bazhaeva’s modest 110.

Her dress was also made by Muhad.

Bazhaeva also wore a baby blue beaded gown from the designer for the ceremony.

We should have brought sunglasses.

Wow, it's actually surprisingly nice. Although I don't like it in the pic with the veil and 50 million pink flowers. With a gown that OTT, a simpler veil would have been better in my opinion.

Considering the suffering and poverty in this world, this sort of extravagance is just self-indulgent and narcissistic.
