Michelle Obama's Vogue cover cements her place as First Lady of style.

With just a few weeks left in the White House for the Obama family, people are struggling to come to terms with the idea of losing Michelle Obama on our TV and computer screens.

The First Lady has been an incredible force over the past eight years, championing girls’ further education, health and wellness and initiatives supporting and empowering women.

Plenty of people are even calling for her to run for President in 2020.

Wearing a white Caroline Herrara dress and Monique Pean earrings, Obama delivers yet another killer style moment that have dominated her stint as FLOTUS.

It comes just a few weeks after she caused a stir (the good kind) when she wore a custom rose-gold Atelier Versace chainmail dress for her final White House State Dinner.

It was statement-making, powerful, oh so shiny and downright BOSS.

Seriously.

What a way to go out.

Given a dress is never just a dress when you're in the public eye (case in point: Hillary Clinton's concession speech suit), the 52 year old has consistently been applauded for her fashion choices, supporting local, international and emerging designers - and instantly selling them out.

She looked out of this world (sorry) in a Gucci sequin map dress from the house's Spring 2016 collection.

Even better - if you look closely you can see that rather than cities, it has markings including 'Sensibility', 'A Great Heart' and 'Honesty'.

Yep, her impending departure is hitting us hard.

For this reason (and any excuse to look at pictures of Michelle Obama) we take a look back at some of her other defining moments as the First Lady (of style). (Post continues after gallery.)

Whatever adorns the first lady’s statuesque figure makes headline news.

She's leaving big (and stylish) shoes to fill.

That rose gold dress could not have been any more perfect on her. I still find myself googling her in it from time to time

Agreed. Very few women in the public eye are actually stylish. Michelle Obama delivers every single time.
