The next Dr Who is female and not everyone can cope.

Overnight the BBC introduced the first female Dr Who and not everyone is 100% happy about it.

When it was announced that Jodie Whittaker (of Broadchurch fame) would be the 13th doctor, a bunch of chilled out blokes popped onto Twitter to calmly discuss their feelings on the matter.

And look, they have a point. If women start playing time-travelling doctors on TV they might start becoming doctors in real life, and pilots, and CEOs, and Prime Ministers – and then we won’t be able to stop this madness.

Men won’t be able to walk in the streets without being flung in the face with a rogue bra.

Thankfully, a few ‘outraged lefty feminists’ also shared their feelings on Twitter.

What a time to be alive.

Dr Who has in various episodes referred to there being millions of parallel universes. So, why wouldn't there be female time lords (Dr Who) in some of those universes. As a sci-fi fan and Dr Who fan I think it adds to the fascinating exploration of parallel universes. Awesome, can't wait to watch it :)
