Finally. Someone tells the truth about single women.

Not shaving your legs. Eating pizza in bed. Sitting at home on the couch in your trackies for days. Forgetting to shower because you’re so immersed in your TV marathon.

That is life when you’re single. And the way these girls sing it, it actually sounds kind of amazing.

Lucy White and Katie Weachter recently wrote this little truth-bomb, and it took about two seconds for it to go crazy viral, because anyone who is single, or ever has been single, can recognise themselves in every line.

Oh god.

It makes me wonder why mamamia.com would have this garbage on here when we all know that A Woman Needs a Man Like a Fish Needs a Bicycle.

Seriously? It takes quite a bit to stop me in my tracks but 'finally something tells the truth about being single' has. I thought it was a joke . . . I read and watched, waiting of the punch line. I have been happily single for almost 9 years. Previous to this I enjoyed 3 longterm relationships. Actually they were relationships I needed. As time went on, got over my insecurities, and found myself, my strength, and now, have the confidence to spend time on my own, be independent and truly love life. I am not adverse to being in a relationship - in fact, if I am swept off my feet, bring it on. I have no expectations of who a future partner may be or look like - for me it is chemistry. Mamamia, sorry you lost me on this one. I think it is quite an immature view on being single. No - correction, it really is!
