Friends and loved ones have rushed to Lamar Odom’s side in Las Vegas.
News broke yesterday that basketballer Lamar Odom, 35, is in hospital in critical condition after being found unresponsive at a Nevada brothel.
His former wife Khloe Kardashian, 31, reportedly “dropped everything” to be with him, and her sister Kim and their mother Kris have also made the trip to the Vegas hospital.
Doctors say the former NBA player had “cocaine and opiates” in his system and that he has suffered multiple strokes, a source told People.
He had been “partying for days” at Denis Hof’s Love Ranch Cathouse, according to TMZ.
An “insider” told TMZ that he’s suffered a “loss of oxygen but also possible stroke. So likely there’s brain damage, but they’re not sure how much. Virtually every drug imaginable was found in his system.”
Brothel owner Dennis Hof told the website that Odom had taken some kind of herbal Viagra substitute.
It was initially reported that the basketball pro had been airlifted to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, but it’s now being said he had to be taken by ambulance because at 6’10”, he is too tall to be airlifted.
Odom’s former LA Lakers teammate Kobe Bryant has been seen visiting him at the hospital, as well as his dad Joe Odom, from whom he has been estranged.
Rob Kardashian is also reportedly in Las Vegas, and posted this picture along with the caption “Praying non-stop for my brother.”
Kris Jenner has been photographed outside the hospital looking despondent. She posted a tweet calling for prayers for her former son in law.
Those who can’t be there have taken to social media to offer their thoughts.

Although Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom separated in 2013 and both signed divorce papers in June this year, People reports that their case has not yet been before a judge, meaning Kardashian will have power of attorney if Odom takes a turn for the worse.
CNN reports that Kardashian is making medical decisions for Odom.
There was speculation that Odom’s apparent overdose came after his portrayal in a recent episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
The Kardashian family was filmed for their show as they boarded a private jet for Las Vegas but they are not being filmed at the hospital, according to People.
“It’s so sad and the situation is unimaginable. Before Khloe got to the hospital she was inconsolable and now she just wants to be by his side. The Kardashians are his family,” a source told People.

Anyone who thinks that something said in Sundays show was what caused this is ridiculous, Lamar called Khloe and and they were speaking, Kim asked why Khloe is talking to him, since they are divorced. Mind you, this was filmed over 4 months ago. and yes this is Kardashian news, whether we like it or not they ARE in our face and all over every tabloid and many magazines. I happen to like them (not that I know them personally but many of them did work hard for what they have).
