It’s not Tom Cruise. It’s just that loveable morning-TV fool Karl Stefanovic.
With his soft, wavy hair and art-student skivvy, he’s so ’90s it hurts.
The Today host shared the snap of himself at 21 years of age on the show’s Twitter page.
The pic was taken 19 years ago in 1996.
Stefanovic is currently travelling around the country with his co-host Lisa Wilkinson on their “We Love Australia” week.
Yesterday, the pair had a close call in a hot-air balloon.
As they floated over South Australia’s Barossa Valley, the basket clipped a gum tree and they landed sideways.
Fortunately, no one was hurt in the incident. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see them go down, since the camera man was busy trying not to fall out of the balloon and didn’t film it.

I lived in New Zealand from 1996 -1999 and I used to stay up specifically to see Karl read the late news. I had such a crush on him, such a gorgeous smile. I'm not sure why, but not even his smile has lured me into watching morning time TV programs though.
