Kaley Cuoco said she'd 'never get married again.' Then she met her fiancé.

Two years ago, Kaley Cuoco declared she would never get married again.

The Big Bang Theory star and mum-of-one previously told Glamour for their April cover story that "I will never get married again." 

"Absolutely not. You can literally put that on the cover," she said.

Well... that's awkward. 

The same month as the Glamour cover, she met actor Tom Pelphrey at an Ozark premiere. 

The couple have just announced they're engaged.

The 38-year-old announced her engagement to longtime boyfriend Pelphrey on her Instagram Stories, with the news since confirmed by Cuoco's representative to USA TODAY.

"What a wild, beautiful journey life can be," Cuoco wrote, alongside an image of the engagement ring. "Grateful for every road that led me straight to you."

Back in March 2023, the couple welcomed their first child together, a daughter Matilda. 

It's been a bumpy road for Cuoco on her path to find love. Her comments in Glamour expressing disinterest in marriage came after her second marriage ended in divorce. 

Kaley met Karl Cook, a professional equestrian and son of billionaire Scott Cook, in 2016. By November 2017, Cook had proposed to Cuoco on her 32nd birthday.

In June 2018, they got married at a ranch in San Diego, California, but three years later in September 2021, Cuoco and Cook announced their separation.

"Despite a deep love and respect for one another, we have realised that our current paths have taken us in opposite directions," they said in a joint statement to People.

It took until June 2022 for their divorce to be finalised, which was a period of time that took a toll on Kaley.

"Going through my divorce, it was really a super dark time. I just didn’t know how to deal with it," Cuoco told Variety in August 2023. "I was throwing myself into work to deny my depression, and how upset I was... I was really, really, really struggling. A lot of tears."

Prior to her 2022 divorce, Cuoco married professional tennis player Ryan Sweeting on New Year's Eve in 2013 after getting engaged just three months into their relationship. 

After 21 months of marriage, Cuoco filed for divorce.

"The person I ended up with was not the person I originally met. And that wasn't my fault — that was his," she said of their divorce.

Further into the Glamour cover story, Cuoco admitted she wanted to find love again.

"I believe in love because I've had incredible relationships. I know that they're out there. I like being someone's partner and having that companionship," she said.

"I know now what I wasn't doing [in previous relationships]. I want to change that. I really know where I've f**ked up, and I don't want to do that again."
