Justin Bieber refused a selfie with a young Melbourne fan, then "humiliated" her.

Poor Justin Bieber may have only intended to have the most fleeting of Melbourne visits, but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t left a trail of unsatisfied fans in his wake.

One mother has told the Herald Sun she was “disgusted” with the singer after she claims he told her daughter “you make me sick” when refusing a photo opportunity.

“My daughter was bawling her eyes out. She was dying to meet him and then he humiliated her,” Houda Bennaoui told the paper.

Her daughter, Sabah Helal, explained during a chance meeting with the Canadian pop superstar at Crown Casino she ran to him to ask for a photo.

“When I got out of my car, I ran over to ask for a photo, and that is when he said ‘why are you invading my privacy?’” Helal told the Herald Sun.

“He wasn’t in a good mood and was adamant that he wouldn’t take a photo with me.”

Helal added that she proceeded to tell the singer she would take the snap regardless.

“He was not interested in a photo at all, I told him that I was going to take the photo anyway.”

Bieber is well known for his refusal to take selfies with fans, explaining on Instagram in May last year he feels like “a zoo animal” with everyone constantly asking for photos.

“If you happen to see me out somewhere know that I’m not gonna [sic] take a picture I’m done taking pictures,” he wrote at the time.

“It has gotten to the point that people won’t even say hit to me or recognise me as a human, I feel like a zoo animal, and I wanna [sic] be able to keep my sanity.

“I realise people will be disappointed but I don’t owe anybody a picture. And people who say “but I bought ur [sic] album” know that you got my album and you got what you paid for – AN ALBUM. It doesn’t say in fine print whenever you see me you also get a photo.”

Perhaps this goes a way to explaining it all.

Justin Bieber isn't obligated to take a photo/selfie with anybody. This person should have respected the fact that he said no and left him alone.

I can't believe all the media outlets are writing up this story to be anti Bieber. Usually I think the guy's a total jerk, but he is not in the wrong on this one. This woman (not a girl or child, a woman) had been him following around, and when she said he didn't want to take a photo with her (something he long ago said he wasn't going to do anymore) she completely disregarded his wishes. I'm pretty sure I read an article in mamamia the other day saying how fair it is for Emma Watson to also always refuse photos because of concerns for her safety and privacy. Does Bieber not have that right too?
