Poor Joan, I hope she survives it - I bet she'll come out of it with some great material if she does. I can't help but admire her, even though she can be so terrible. She really is a 'piece of work.' Hang in there Joan!

I loved Joan Rivers in the 80's and 90's. Her jokes about being a woman in a man's world (comedy) were priceless. Her sarcasm and wit were marvellous. I felt she was the natural follow-on from Phyllis Diller, except Joan always looked fabulous. Haven't watched her for the past 10-15 years as her acid nastiness has been too much. Making people feel awful about themselves is not funny and she wasn't.
