Yeah but marriage is between a woman and a man legally and should stay that way. If you open it up for gay people, you are also opening up a door to polygamists as well. They should have rights too, am i right? You can't just change the definition or marriage for one group of people.
Same sex couples cannot produce their own offspring the same way heterosexual couples were designed by nature to. So what is the point of same sex marriage?
Not all heterosexual couples marry just to have children, same as not all hetero couples with kids are married.
The 'point' of same sex marriage is the same as for any marriage - love. People don't marry just because of kids. They marry someone because they're in love.
The point of marriage isn't just to "mate"
It's about sharing an unbreakable love, and somehow marriage is something which makes this so much stronger.. Gay people aren't at all different to anybody, we don't feel love any less than you do, we don't, and can't destroy the tradition of marriage...
2 people of the same sex are one and the same, if they feel love towards each other, how is that any less valuable?
