Hey, hey, hey it’s politically incorrect Fat Albert

Were you a child of the 70’s or 80’s? If that was yes, you may remember Fat Albert and The Cosby Kids, a Bill Cosby produced show about a group of kids in Philadelphia whose adventures mostly ended in some kind of moral lesson.

The main character would now be described as a Socially and Economincally Disadvantaged Obese African American Youth. Albert. Fat Albert. Imagine trying to get THAT show up in 2011. There would no doubt be an impassioned debate about whether Albert should have his stomach stapled or perhaps go on Jenny Craig.

When you think about it, a lot of other cartoon shows we watched growing up, would also be too politically incorrect for our screens today. Take a look:

What were your fave cartoons as a kid and would they work today?
