Happy Hollywood day, ladies! The 88th Annual Academy Awards are officially underway, and we’re more excited than a C-list celeb in the Oscar’s freebie room.
But despite the festive mood surrounding the event, not everyone is feeling the good vibes; with a chunk of Hollywood’s finest boycotting the 2016 Annual Academy Awards.
Why the boycott?
Put simply: it’s a whitewash. None of the actors nominated in the acting and directing category are of colour, and almost all are male.
