It’s been a week of fabulous highs, and terrible lows for Harry Potter fans across the world: a new, magical movie hit our screens, and one of our favourite couples to come out of the famous franchise announced they have parted way.
Yes, we’re talking about Evanna Lynch and Robbie Jarvis (aka Luna Lovegood and James Potter).
The pair – who never actually appeared on screen together, but met filming Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix – revealed to Us Weekly they were no longer dating, after confirming their relationship last year.
“We’re still friends,” Evanna told the publication.
In fact, the 25-year-old actress revealed they still attend a lot of events together, specifically “vegan events”.
Just three weeks ago, Robbie shared a lengthy post on Instagram detailing how Evanna had changed his mind about his meat-eating ways.
“She pushed me, of course, because she knew I could take it. And I’ll forever be grateful that she did,” he wrote on Instagram.
“That holiday was the last time I ate meat and I pity the boy in this photo who had more in common with those sheep than he realised. I’m happy to say that I’m now much closer to knowing the true cost of my food.”
Eve and Robbie have had their fair share of adventures together over the years – and have always been happy to share them with their fans.
Here’s hoping that they remain friends for a while yet, if only so we can live vicariously through their Instagram updates.
