Prince Harry's candid photo of Meghan cradling her baby bump.

Among Prince Harry‘s many redeeming qualities (champion of returned servicemen/women, snazzy dresser, strokeable ginger beard, etc.), it turns out he’s is also a great Instagram husband.

Kensington Palace has shared a snap taken by the 34-year-old during an uncharacteristically quiet moment on his recent Royal tour.

The photo captures pregnant wife, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, standing between the towering redwoods in Whakarewarewa Forest in New Zealand, cradling her growing baby bump.

With it, a message from the pair: “Thank you New Zealand for the most wonderful last week of our tour. It has been a privilege to meet so many friendly Kiwis. Australia, Fiji, Tonga and NZ – we leave feeling inspired and reminded of how every single one of us can make a difference.”

They followed that up with an inspirational quote from a 19th Century New Zealand suffragist and women’s rights activist, because of course they did.

“The rain that refreshes the parched ground, is made up of single drops’ – Kate Sheppard.”

The Duke and Duchess have shared a handful of personal photographs during the tour via the Kensington Palace accounts.

Harry shared his first ever Instagram story from a flight over New Zealand’s Abel Tasman National Park, just days after Meghan supplied a stunning shot of her husband rehearsing his speech for the Invictus Games in Sydney.

The former Suits star was once prolific on social media. But with protocol barring working Royals from the platform, the recent pictures are as close as she’s come her old ‘gram-happy ways.

Perhaps we’re seeing the beginning of the end of that stuffy Royal rule.
