Scared? You probably should be, because the world just realised ghosts are real.

In a recent Instagram post by Kate Langbroek, the 53-year-old is seen posing with a friend in her new “palazzo” apartment in Italy.

She explains the apartment was partly built in the 1300s, and there are three large mirrors in the living room from the 1700s.

It’s all innocent enough, until you look in the damn mirror and see not one but two ghosts.

Look a little closer.

Okay all jokes aside someone call Ghostbusters.

There's very clearly a white nun-looking ghost on the right, and her weird little Darth Vader friend on the left.

The Australian television presenter confirmed acknowledged that ghosts are might be real in her caption, writing “I always think if I turn around really quickly, I’ll be able to see the past in this mirror...” followed by "WTF is that??? Also, I hope if that white apparition is a ghost that it at least pitches in with the renos so we can finally move in."

A few theories on the origins of these ghosts.

Ghost one (pictured right): Beatrice.

Age: 700 years old.

Occupation: Nun in ancient Rome.

Back story: Friendly Casper-esque ghost who will clearly be blessing the Langbroek family throughout their Italian journey.

Ghost two (pictured left): Titus.

Age: 613 years old.

Occupation: Roman Emperor.

Back story: One of the better emperors, Titus roams the streets of Rome protecting the people, especially tourists from the countries he didn't get around to conquering.

Ghosts are real. Case closed.
