Georgia Love has thanked her supporters in the wake of her mum's death.

The Bachelorette star Georgia Love has thanked her social media followers for the “huge outpouring of love, support and condolences” they’ve shared in the wake of her mother’s death.

“I’m absolutely amazed by the number of messages I’ve received from others who’ve been through or are going through the same heartbreak, let alone from those who are just sending well wishes,” she wrote on Instagram this evening.

“Thank you to every single person who has shared even a single thought for me and my family.”

The 28-year-old’s mother, Belinda Love, passed away on Saturday after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

The former news reporter said while she and her family are currently in the depths of an “absolutely awful” period, she is determined to find a silver lining in their grief.

“One thing my mum taught me was to believe in paying it forward and that from every negative can come even the slightest positive,” she wrote.

“So I hope my family’s gut wrenching loss can create some awareness of the brutal disease that is pancreatic cancer and hopefully do some good in helping to find a cure.”

Georgia announced the news of her mother’s tragic death late on Monday night, just days after the finale of The Bachelorette went to air.

“Mum, you were my first friend and my best friend, my rock, the one who knew me better than anyone in the world and who supported and backed me through every single thing I did,” she wrote on Instagram.

"You were the one I went to for advice, the one I shared every story with and the one who was always there to pick me up.

"There is so much more I need and want to share with you. I have no idea how to even begin to say goodbye. I love you, Mum, and will continue to every single day."
