The short film that reverses gender roles and proves sexism exists.

Upworthy gave this short film the headline: “French film showing men what being a woman feels like kinda nails it.”

BuzzFeed captioned it: “This powerful video shows men what it feels like to be subjected to sexism and sexual violence.”

Huffington Post said: “Try doubting everyday sexism after watching this.”

We just want to say: Bravo.

(Skip to 30 seconds to avoid the credits.)

This short film, directed by Éléonore Pourriat, shows a father going about his day. Taking his kid to kindergarten. Riding to work.

And then, facing sexist remarks on the street, being harassed by women, and being sexually assaulted.

This film is a stark reminder that it’s time we take notice of sexism – even when it’s the kind we see every day.

What do you think of the short film? Can you imagine a world of matriarchy instead of patriarchy? Can you imagine a world of, dare we even think it, equality?

Sexism occurs daily, however, this movie is extreme. Personally, I have encountered some - but only a little - of what this movie illustrates. I do appreciated what the film is trying to highlight but I don't like that it portrays all men in this light. 'The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world' ladies, so raise your sons to respect women and as a society we may move in the right direction.
