This woman's full face of makeup was done using only food from her pantry. Yes, really.

Your mum might have always said, ‘don’t play with your food’ — but if she could have seen this amazing video, pretty sure she would be all for it.

Popular vlogger Raychel Newton has proven herself to be the ultimate makeup MacGyver with her one-minute clip applying a full face of makeup… only using food.

Digging into her pantry and fridge, she manages to apply everything from fake eyelashes to contoured cheeks only using regular ingredients.

The food makeup was part of a challenge given to Raychel by her followers, and she totally nailed it.

Apart from being rather reassuring that Jelly Crystals make an extremely effective blusher, Makeup Maven has also proven that some food products might even make a great alternative to chemical-laden makeup.

(For example, coconut oil lip gloss over a beetroot lip stain? Totally doable!)

Here’s how she achieved her food-friendly look:

Eyeshadow: cacao powder, butter, honey, mac’n’cheese powder, coffee grounds.

Powder/Bronzer: cacao powder.

Highlighter: icing sugar.

Contour: Snickers chocolate bar, blended.

Blush: strawberry jelly crystals.

Lip stain: a halved beetroot.

Lip gloss: coconut oil.
