Farrah Abrahams accused of sexualising her seven-year-old daughter.

Farrah Abrahams, star of MTV reality shows ’16 and Pregnant’ and ‘Teen Mom’, as well as more uh, adult based material, has found herself back in the spotlight again.

This time she has been accused of sexualising her seven year old daughter, Sophia.

On the 18th June, Farrah shared a picture of Sophia with her Instagram followers. It shows a ‘behind the scenes’ shot of Sophia modelling. And in it she’s wearing a bikini.

Let’s just say it didn’t go down well in internet land.

“Disgusting!” says one Instagram user.

““I [won’t] let my daughters wear a bikini anyway! She’ll be conscious of her size/weight/figure by now and she’s only a baby! Well done for ruining your daughter’s childhood.”

Others agreed, “When will child services get involved and take her child away for her sexualising her in this manner???”

One lady even went so far as to give Farrah the ‘worst mother of the year’ award.

This is not the first time that Farrah has been publicly criticised for her parenting choices.

Back in 2014, she uploaded a screen shot of Sophia’s school photo. In it the then five year old is seen wearing makeup.

But it seems that not everyone agrees with what is being said. “I have [an] 11 year old and a 7 year old,” wrote Instagram user, Crystal. “They are both girls and when they are in beautiful dresses and out swimming at the lake I think, ‘Wow, my children are so beautiful. I need to take a pic to remember this very day and moment.’ I can’t blame Farrah for wanting to remember how wonderful being a mom can be.”

Others said there was nothing wrong with children wearing bikinis and in fact, the issue is rather one with adults who see the swimsuits in a sexual way. ““Who do you think models your kids clothes? Kids do, not adults…it’s no different so get off your high horse and stop being stupid and mean.”

What do you think? Is a bikini too ‘sexy’ for a seven year old girl?

In and of itself, there's nothing wrong with a child wearing a 2 piece bathing suit. I had one myself at that age. It seems to be a kids swimsuit - kiddie colours, not too revealing (it's not a string bikini or a thong), not much wrong there. The bigger problem is the pose - the hand on the hip, the other hip jutting out. That I would say is more the issue that the swimsuit itself.

Yeah, i think you might be right - that's an odd pose for a seven year old - pushing her chest out like that screams "trying to look like mommy" to me.
