The biggest cake fail of all time? Maybe not after all.

Cake fails will make your day. Every. Damn. Time.

UPDATE:

It has come to our attention that there’s actually a pretty great story behind this cake fail – and it’s something that we need to acknowledge.

The cake was created by Icing Smiles, Inc. which is an organisation that bakes cakes for terminally ill children and their families.

The baker, known as Lisa, has taken the comments with grace and humour. In one Facebook comment, she mentioned that Elsa had returned from rehab, hence the cake fail.

Lisa says she doesn’t care about the criticism because she knows she made a child happy.

And really – that’s all that matters.

We all know what Elsa from Frozen looks like, right?

Frozen

She’s a babe.

If you put her into cake form, she still looks good.

That’s the kind of cake every Frozen fan would love at their birthday party.

One family appeared to have ordered it for their child’s party. An image was posted on Reddit on Sunday, with the caption, ‘the cake that was ordered and the cake that arrived.’

So close.

Looks aren’t everything. Right, Elsa cake?

I'm not sure if what I read elsewhere is correct but what I read puts this whole cake thing into perspective. Firstly this baker was trying to copy an Elsa cake, it wasn't a case of false advertising where she promised to make the same cake, instead she was trying to copy the cake the best she could. I'm not a baker but it looks to me like it would be hard cake to make. She also was doing this for FREE! And on top of that her own granny had died that very morning, she was at the hospital and then also had to comfort her mother.
However because she didn't want to disappoint a sick child she went home and made her best attempt at this cake.
She explained all this on another site, and the trolls had a go at her and said she shouldn't have promised what she couldn't deliver!

I think the person who posted this photo should actually be ashamed, they have a terminally ill child they got the cake for free and yet they publish a post like that. How would they like it if their child passed away but they then volunteered their time on the same day to make something nice for the baker but the baker posted this snarky post.
I do realise the parent probably wasn't aware what the baker had been through, but she was getting a very difficult cake made for free by a kind hearted volunteer she would have known that at the very least, and she probably also has days where she is very upset over what is going on with her child and wishes people who were mean to her because they don't know or care what is going on in her personal life would cut her some slack.

Having said all this I don't know if what I read on the other site is true but if it is I think poor kind baker needs our support and kind words and perhaps someone needs to make her a cake!

Actually, they say on their Facebook page that she was quite hurt (but has since been buoyed by the positive comments). You're contributing to the meanness and the hurt. She's just a volunteer trying to do something nice.

Now you've posted an update but left all the mean comments intact - you can't have it both ways.
