Oh goodness. Dr. Pimple Popper just faced her biggest challenge yet.

The eyelid is probably the single worst place to find countless bumps that resemble whiteheads.

You definitely can’t touch them – the skin is far too thin and sensitive.

So recently, one woman walked into Dr. Sandra Lee’s office (A.K.A Dr. Pimple Popper) with this very condition.

The technical term for the tiny, white bumps just under the surface of the skin is ‘milia’, and they’re small cysts. According to Dr. Lee, they contain skin protein, and while they’re harmless, they’re often found on the face, which can be distressing for the person who has them.

They can’t simply be squeezed out, says Dr. Lee, and doing so leads to redness and inflammation, without removing the bump. So, she says, “the surface of the skin has to be pierced first with a lancet, a sharp pointed blade, or a needle, in order to successfully remove the milium”.

Goodness.

If you’re into this sort of thing (if you’ve read this far, you just… are) you can watch the extraction below. But be warned – you’re in for a long ride.
