We all watched last year, mouths agape (just me?! Oh, okay) as Conrad Fisher sucked on a candy cane at the door of the Cousins house on Christmas Eve. It's clear that at this moment, Prime Video saw an opportunity, and today we're thrilled to announce they have taken it.

It's official, everyone's favourite floppy-haired internet boyfriend, Chris Briney, is saving Christmas. His new movie, Clashing Through the Snow, is now in production and, well, I'm sat… nine months early. Because, who doesn't love a movie with a pun in the title?! *laughs nervously*

But can I just say thank God they cast this man in a rom-COM (emphasis on com) because I'm not sure if I could withstand another 90 minutes of my boy in pain. I want smiles, I want Christmas music, I want gingerbread and I want someone to explain why he was spotted dressed as Santa in the middle of a shopping centre in broad daylight last week.

We still have a little while to wait before it's release, but here's everything we know about the movie so far, so you can give your friends a comically early save-the-date for your watch party.

So, who is starring in Clashing Through the Snow?

If you didn't watch The Summer I Turned Pretty (what the hell is your problem?!), you may recognise Christopher Briney from Daliland or more recently, Mean Girls.

Alongside Chris will be, Landman and 1923 actress, Michelle Randolph as the female lead, Deadline reports.

Also appearing among the cast is Lukas Gage ( The White Lotus, People We Meet on Vacation, Euphoria), and is it just me or is this man absolutely everywhere? Like no, seriously, where does he find the time?

The movie is being directed by Carlson Young, who also worked on Upgraded with Camila Mendes. So if that is anything to go by, we should be in store for an easy, lighthearted watch with a happy ending. Phew.

What do we know about the plot?

Not much has been revealed apart from the fact that this will be a comedy feature that has been billed as "Planes, Trains and Automobiles for this generation". Don't worry, I looked this up so my fellow Gen Z's don't have to.

During a freak snowstorm, Neal and Del's flights are cancelled as they try to make it home for Thanksgiving. The two polar-opposite strangers are forced to bunk up together and find their chaotic way all the way ho-ho-home. So sounds like it will be like that… but… sexy?

Where can I watch it?

You will be able to watch the movie on Prime Video this Christmas. No release date has been announced, but if it were up to me to take a guess, I'd say stay tuned for December.

And look, I wasn't going to bring it up, but it feels like it could be the right time. Fans have been speculating that the The Summer I Turned Pretty movie will also be released this Christmas, given the festive photobook at the end of the last episode. So, after this wraps, he'd better get cracking on filming quicksmart.

Until then, I'll keep my fingers crossed for two holiday movies starring Chris Briney. Now, that would be a true Christmas miracle.
