Christmas. How was yours?

As I write this, I’m about to head up the coast to the beach for a couple of weeks of holiday – or, as my friend calls it “moving-the-children-to-a-different-location”. We spent a glorious Christmas with kids and family and friends and I didn’t have to travel anywhere to see relatives – they all came to us. Or they didn’t. But we got to stay put.

We don’t do adult presents – haven’t for years – so I have no gift gossip for you. Kids were happy with their 3890 small bits of plastic and packaging that made me feel guilty though. So there’s that. How was your Christmas? Good gifts? Happy families? Funny stories?

Time to vent, download and share.

And if you want a little reality escape – check out what the celebrities got up to this Christmas

It's so lovely to hear about everyone's happy Christmas' but please spare a thought for all those who didn't have such a good one. My Dad was in intensive care on Christmas Day after suffering a heart attack on the Tuesday before after having a bad bout of pneumonia. Fortunately he was in hospital at the time being treated for the pneumonia. He almost didn't make it but by some form of Christmas miracle he pulled through. My Christmas day was spent visiting him in hospital but rejoicing at the same time that he was alive and we could therefore celebrate!

Hopefully in a few weeks time when he has fully recovered we will celebrate Christmas Mk II!!

Next year please spare a thought and maybe say a prayer for all those people who are sick at Christmas time and for their loved ones who might not be having such a Happy Christmas.

After our xmas at Mum's the weekend before, went to Xmas day at my brother's place. We had a normal lunch, nothing too exciting, and then it heated up, which was good as I had strategically chucked in my swimmers, hoping we could bust out the slip and slide Mum got them. So we did! Awesome fun (even if I couldn't slip and/or slide due to being 6 months pregnant). The kids had a ball on it and we had fun talking them through how to get optimum slips and slides. Miss 6 was all over it pretty fast, throwing herself around, took Mr nearly 4 a bit of coaching but he got there in the end (me sitting there talking him through - Run Run Run JUMP!). Then went down to Mum's until today and she bought me a new maternity top and skirt cause KMart has clothes on special.
We both got homicidal trying to put her new BBQ together yesterday though!
