In the hours before midnight, the Indonesian island of Lombok, and surrounding island of Bali was hit with a magnitude 7 earthquake.

The natural disaster has impacted thousands of residents and holiday makers, one of which includes model, Chrissy Teigen, her husband John Legend and their two children – Luna and Miles Stephens.

Currently staying in Bali, Teigen live tweeted about her terrifying experience as she felt the shocks of the initial earthquake and its subsequent aftershocks.

Teigen, 32, shared the scary moment with her signature humour and shared she was “naked” and “trembling” through the entire ordeal.

Since sharing her experience, fans have tweeted in with their support for the social media favourite. Although her last tweet was seven hours ago (at around midnight, local time), we’re guessing her family went to sleep after the tremors abated.

Oh Chrissy I’m so sorry u had to go through this during ur stay in our beautiful island of Bali. Please stay safe & only bring home good memories. The Balinese rely on tourism for livelihood, and they would want u to go home w/ nothing but love in ur ❤️ for Bali & Indonesia.

According to AAP, officials state the death toll from the natural disaster has risen to 82, with thousands evacuated. Australian actress Teresa Palmer was also holidaying in Ubud in Bali when the earthquake occurred.

“It was very scary and we are in Bali, I can’t imagine how it must’ve felt to those closer to Lombok. Thinking of everyone affected,” she tweeted at around 10pm, Sunday night AEST.

As of yet, Prime Minister Malcolm Turbull has said there are no reports of any Australians being killed in the quake.
