The cheap Aldi moisturiser people swear is better than the $575 La Prairie classic.

There are two types of people in this world. Aldi people. And not-Aldi people.

We are Aldi people.

You being here probably makes you an Aldi person too. While we like to divide our money evenly between all the supermarkets and stores (because they usually do different specials on different days), it’s hard to ignore Aldi’s ability to recreate our favourite exxy indulgences for a fraction of the original cost.

First, it was wine. Then, gin. Followed by homewares. Now, fancy moisturiser.

The moisturiser in question is LACURA Caviar Illumination Day Cream SPF15, and some people reckon it’s (almost) better than its luxe counterpart, cult favourite La Prairie Skin Caviar Luxe Cream, which retails for $575.

Described as ‘gliding on like a dream’ and being ‘very moisturising without that greasy feeling’, a pot of the wonder cream will only set you back $29.99.

BUT that’s not all folks, because it turns out this moisturiser comes in a set, so you’ll also get the Caviar Illuminating Night Cream and Caviar Illuminating Eye Mousse at no extra cost. Yep.

Because this was all sounding a bit too good to be true, we regret to inform you that you’ll only find this skincare range in-store from November 1.

Which means you’ll need to clock off early to get your hands on it.

RUN.

Oh please! I've tried it and it is nothing like La Prairie.
If you put Passion Pop in a bottle designed to look just like Dom Perignon it still won't taste the same...
The only people who think they are the same are those who have never used the real deal.
