As Oscars season approaches and Hollywood celebrities dominate our radar, we thought there was no better time than to blow a few minds and remind you that the movie business really is a small place.
And that there are far more celebrities who are related than we had ever really considered.
Rob Lowe and Hilary Swank
Did you know these two used to be brother and sister-in-law? Lowe’s brother, actor Chad Lowe, was married to Hillary Swank for 10 years. They split in 2007.
Liev Schreiber and Pablo Schreiber
Liev Shreiber and Pablo Schreiber are both notable actors in their own right, and also happen to be half-brothers. Their father Tell Carroll Schreiber was also an actor.

As sisters-in-law, these two are each married to one half of the Madden twins. Diaz is married to Benji Madden while Richie is married to Joel. It's believed Richie played matchmaker for Diaz and Benji Madden.

Ashlee Simpson isn't just the sister of Jessica Simpson, but doubles as Diana Ross' daughter-in-law. Ashlee married into the Ross family in 2014, when she wedded husband is Evan Ross, son to Diana and half-brother to Black-ish star Tracee Ellis Ross.
