And, with that, Australia doesn’t have a Carbon Tax.

Finding it a little nippy outside today? Don’t even worry about it, you guys, because Tony Abbott’s just stepped in to make sure the planet’ll keep getting warmer.

In a move welcomed by polar bear-haters, Gina Rinehart and rich industrial plants everywhere, Tones has scrapped the Carbon Tax.

The bill passed with 39 ayes to 32 noes. There was initial uncertainty about the Palmer United Party’s senators’ position on the repeal, however it went through after three Palmer United senators voted in support.

Only Labor and the Greens opposed the repeal.

And, with that, Australia doesn’t have a Carbon Tax.

Because who really cares about the environment/our children/our children’s children, amirite?

For all the "good" we can do by cutting emissions it only takes one puff from a volcano to put back into the air all we took out in 12 months.

What is it with the media being so far left they are blindsided. Global warming by carbon is not a fact, it is speculation. The climate is in constant change as it has been over millions of years. There is no certainty that carbon has caused it in the last 100-150 years. There was an ice age millions of years ago and no industrial carbon from humans then. Scientists can't agree either. It just the left wing media that like to report only the sources they believe in from government funded scientists paid to investigate climate change. If they found no proof of climate change from carbon their funding would be cut and they'd be out of a job as there'd be nothing to investigate. Let's get some informed perspective here. We all want to look out for the environment and do the right thing but let's make sure we don't tax people more ( because if you tax business you can be sure it'll be handed on to consumers) but put in place policies that decrease pollution rather than focusing on the false religion of blind faith in so called global warming or as they now call it ( because the climate is clearly not warming everywhere) climate change.

The climate doesn't care whether the media is on the left or the right, it is changing due to our carbon dioxide emissions anyway. As science has shown for at least the past 20 years. Which you would know if took your own advice and became informed on the issue, ie credible sources such as NASA, Bureau of Meteorology, CSIRO, peak scientific bodies around the world etc.

You might want to check your facts because the consensus among 97% of climate scientists is that climate change is very real and human contribution is largely responsible for the alarming increase in greenhouse gas emissions. Most of these scientists work independently of political agendas so your statements are unfounded. Whatever is done in terms of a country's efforts to do their bit to lower their carbon emissions, it will always come back to the taxpayer. The carbon tax, while some of the costs were payed by taxpayers, it is a far cheaper option than what taxpayers will be paying under Tony Abbott's Direct Action Plan!

Climate change and global warming are two different things....look up the following link and you will get a better understanding of the myths surrounding climate change denial.....
