Shocker, Hero and Whinger of the week.

Welcome to Mamamia Rogue’s Shocker, Hero and Whinger of the Week.

Here’s how it works: Each week, we pick the biggest Shocker, Hero and Whinger from the last seven days. Shocker is whatever moment or person left our jaws on the floor. Hero is whoever won the week by being flat out amazing.  And whinger? Well, that’s pretty much just someone who has had a major sooky-la-la moment.

Without further ado, let’s get started on the week that was.

Shocker of the week goes to…

These guys:

For getting rid of the carbon tax.

Because who really cares about the environment/our children/our children’s children/polar bears.

Hero of the week goes to…

Chris Scott (@iamchrisscott) for this tweet:

Which got 20,548 retweets, 30,533 favourites, 110,000 likes on Tumblr and a viral meme in his honour.

Well played sir, well played.

Whinger of the week goes to…

Romanian socialite Monica Gabor. The 26-year-old Romanian equivalent to Paris Hilton who adopted a child, only to return him the next day when she discovered that he cries a lot.

Apparently the child doesn’t remember the incident.

Which is probably for the best.

Meanwhile the world remembers Monic, which probably isn’t for the best.

Seriously Mamamia, the left wing opinions are pretty sad. If the carbon tax actually helped the environment, the majority of Australians would have voted for it. Duh!

Also interesting to note the Stafford by-election in QLD. Labor achieved an unexpected swing of 18.6 per cent - more than the 17.2 per cent swing it achieved in the Redcliffe by-election in February. No doubt a glimpse of what is to come in the general election next March.

Always was a safe Labor seat until the last Election when even Labor had had enough. It was always going to go back to Labor after the voters had vented their anger. It's not that much of a big deal.

I think the general population will work out that you can't keep living off the credit card forever. Right now there are a lot of people who don't want to live within their means and they don't like cutting up the credit card.
