Beyonce’s just melted the internet with the release of her new film clip for sex anthem “Partition”.
It’s so sexy you might stop breathing for just a second.
It’s so smokin’ hot you might hurt yourself watching it.
It’s so Not Safe For Work you might get fired for playing it at your desk.
But the song is about Beyonce asking her chauffeur to roll the partition up so she can go down on her husband Jay-Z in the back of a limo with a bit of privacy… So what did you expect?
Better watch it so you can give an informed/aroused opinion on it when you’re inevitably asked “Have you seen Beyonce’s new video?

There’s so much to talk about: the costumes, the writhing, the butt shots, the sexy dark alley strip routine, the weird gangster hat, whether the back of that man’s head was really Jay-Z or a stand-in husband double…

I LOVE this song and video from the new album. From an artistic perspective I do find it to be more erotic and less trashy.
I've never really been much of a Beyonce fan but the new album had some raunch and intimacy to it that I find interesting and catchy. Some people find it trashy, but I genuinely resonate with much of the album. I feel as I'm getting older (possibly due to the supposed 'peak' in women's libido in late 20s-early 30s, my sexual-self is evolving and perhaps that is what Beyonce is also expressing. Particularly when you've been in a long term relationship or defined as wife/mother/sister etc you may feel the need to remind yourself of your own needs.
There are definitely some lyrics in Partition and Drunk in Love which could have been omitted or re-written. However, some lyrics really come down to interpretation. The line, 'Take all of me. I just want to be that girl you like' could certainly be interpreted as needy/desperate/lacking self-esteem as suggested in the comments below. But, I think most women have experienced a vulnerable time in their lives where they have felt this way. You may be a confident, self assured woman but sometimes you DO just want to be a hot and sexy woman that someone would fall over themselves to be with.
