Welcome to Mamamia’s Best and Worst of the Week.
If you’ve never been here before, where the bloody hell have you been?? Welcome. Best and Worst is our Friday tradition, where we talk about how the week’s been. It’s kind of like catching up for coffee with your best girlfriends. So get comfy, grab a cuppa let’s do this.
I’ll start.

Best: I just spent about 12 days in Bali and it was HEAVEN. After a few months of pretty hard work, a couple of weeks of reading, sleeping and drinking cocktails by the pool in Ubud was well… quite alright.
I went with my mum and we decided to treat ourselves to a hotel a little more fancy than we might usually chose. But with a pool like this:

It was well worth it.
Best #2: The Mamamia Network hit 1 million social media followers yesterday. It’s an incredible achievement from an amazingly talented and hard working team and I couldn’t be prouder.
Here’s how we celebrated:
Worst: The tsunami about terror and awful generalisations about people based purely on their religion.

Oops bit late to the party but here goes (maybe I'll do this ON Friday next time hehe)
Best: long weekend so I get an extra day with my gorgeous hubby, I'm on school holidays now so I can relax during my IVF treatment (god send of a break really) & we got to celebrate a friends wedding at a beautiful location this weekend (even with torrential rain forest areas look gorgeous :))
Worst: the hormones are extremely hard to deal with - This week I cried... A LOT. I was also extremely disappointed as my treatment (growing the eggies) got delayed by 5 days so I'm still stuck in suppression (ie menopausal state), apparently also another reason for me to cry (is ok I've evened out now and realise it's not the end of the world).
OMM: IVF IVF IVF. I get so annoyed with myself because it is ALL I can think about... How long til next med is due? How many days til next test? And of course babies and pregnant women are EVERYWHERE. Can't wait til I'm "normal" again - thou after 2 yrs TTC I wonder how long it will be before babies DONT consume my every thought!!??
Best: Our business is going incredibly well, better than either of us could have hoped for. There's great times ahead too, yay!
Worst: When Keith Urban is starting to sound good you know Country Music Festival is getting to you... urgh... Grumpy old customers, who clearly never eat out, who seem to think that they've been polite for long enough and now they're just moles!
