Best and Worst of the week

.

It’s almost the end of January and another week has flown by, albeit nicely interrupted by a public holiday. We had plenty of discussion about Australia Day here and Aussie slang here, talked parenting on the Chinese mothers post and examined how the new flood levy works.

This week we also laughed and shared this pregnancy dance, talked about what became obsolete this decade and flicked through this week’s must see fashion gallery.

Time to vent, share and tell your best and worst moments of the week. I’ll go first:

Worst: My parents had to put their dog down. She had a long and happy life.
Best: In the email they sent around to family and friends to let everyone know, they signed off “LOL” – thinking it meant Lots of Love. It wasn’t my best but it was my funniest on a very sad day.

Worst - Air conditioning cactus the night before Australia Day and then had the hottest two days I can ever remember!!! Kids, husband and myself all hot and stressed. Can't be fixed for a fortnight. I really feel the heat and when my husband told me how long it would take I actually said "oh well - what can we do...nevermind" - He knows what a nightmare I am when I am and hot and I think nearly fainted with shock of my calm acceptance!!!!

Best - My second little boy turning one last Saturday. Had a lovely party and despite the heat had a great day. Adored seeing my first son who is four making such a fuss of his little brother and helping him with his pressies and cake. Watching their relationship develop is truly a wondrous thing.

Best - am back from four months overseas travel with my husband!

Worst - am back from four months overseas travel with my husband.

Something in between - I just quit my job. Vacillating between euphoria and sheer panic!!

Hope you've all been well xx
