Best and worst of the week.

By LUCY ORMONDE

I think there’s a me-shaped dent in my couch. For the past week, any time I’m not a work, I’m in front of the TV and hogging the remote. I might have even slept there some nights… No judging, please.

Welcome to best and worst of the week. It’s time to tell us about you and what’s been happening in your life. Imagine you’re sitting down with your family for dinner or catching up with your friends. Everything is on the table, nothing’s off limits. We’re a supportive bunch here.

I’ve been a bit Olympics obsessed over the past couple of weeks. The thing I’ve loved most about the London Games has been the social media and the power of internet and the way it’s let us share and talk about the best and worst and laugh-out-loud moments. Can you remember an Olympics before where a picture of a rower with (or without) a boner has gone viral? Or when an unfortunate dive becomes a world-wide hit? (Pun intended.)

There’s nothing like watching an event with the rest of the world on Twitter. Pole vaulting heats become hilarious when a few thousand people are simultaneously staring at their TV screens and wondering why the athletes look so bored.

It’s been so much fun, although now I’m finding myself in that strange frame of mind where I want the Olympics to be over so I can move on with my life, but at the same time I’m already depressed that it’s almost finished and we have to wait four years for the next. Serious question: Does anyone remember what we did at night before the Olympics? I do not.

What’s also on my mind this week is visas, travel insurance, exchanging money and what to wear on the plane. I’m going to the US soon for a couple of weeks and if there’s a gold medal for the most disorganised traveller ever, it’s mine. You know those people who think about what kinds of comfortable walking shoes they should pre-purchase before a trip? I’m more throw the pretty-but-impractical shoes in the suitcase the night before and cross the blister bridge once you arrive. I’ve done nothing to prepare.

But while I’m away, I am going to miss the office and everyone here. Here’s a glimpse of what goes on behind the scenes:

Your turn. How’s your week been?

I have realized some new elements from your web page about computers. Another thing I have always thought is that laptop computers have become a product that each house must have for most reasons. They supply you with convenient ways in which to organize the home, pay bills, shop, study, hear music and even watch tv series. An innovative method to complete all of these tasks has been a notebook computer. These computers are mobile ones, small, effective and portable. jordan pas cher
