Best and worst of the week

Welcome to the end of the week and another round of Best and Worst.

Our Friday Best and Worst post is your chance to come together and talk about the highs and the lows of your week, as well as anything else that’s on your mind.

You might have noticed that for the last couple of weeks, we’ve handed Best & Worst over to you. It’s our way of thanking all of you for being a part of this great tradition.

And of course you can have a chance to host – just email info@mamamia.com.au with your full name, headshot and a short bio (include any links to your blog/Twitter etc), and we’ll take it from there.

Now – introducing Sonia (or as you might all know her better, She’s Sonic).

Sonia writes:

Best: Social media. Through Twitter, I’ve been inspired to reignite a passion I’ve had for a long time but never really utilised to its full potential – writing. I love it. And the connections I’ve made through Twitter have led me to some very exciting opportunities. Writing, communicating, being creative…what more could I ask for?!

Worst: Very much a FWP, but not having enough hours in the day to do it all – exercise, work, blog, keep our house in some sort of reasonable state (no mean feat in the midst of renovating), spending quality time with the Mr – and do it all at 100%.

OMM: It is officially now less than a year until our wedding. Cue mild panic attack at said milestone. Gain perspective. Resume usual relaxed attitude towards planning said wedding.

Have a great weekend everyone!!

Sonia (AKA ‘She’s Sonic’) is an Executive Assistant and bride-to-be from Adelaide, South Australia. You can find her on Twitter here and she blogs here and here.

What were your best and worst bits of the week?

Worst: My mum's MRI confirmed what we had suspected. Her cancer has spread. Anxiety and panic attacks are hovering around me like swarming flies. Must be strong. Road ahead will be tough. Dad not coping.
Best: She took it so well and we are banding together to get her through this as best we can. Love her so much.
