Best and Worst: Come and tell us about your week.

Hello lovely readers!

Welcome to your safe place. A place you can spill whatever’s on your mind – both good and bad. What’s going on in your world? We want to hand the writing over to you; tell us everything.

“Who wants to know?” you collectively chime. I’m Laura. I’m a kiwi ex-pat (cue the sheep jokes), magazine lover, book fiend, pop-culture genius and I unashamedly love One Direction.

So what’s been going on this week?

Best (there are a few):

The absolute best was going to the First Aid Kit concert on Tuesday night. If you haven’t heard about them, they’re two Swedish sisters that have the most amazing voices. Their harmonies are out of this world.

This is my second week interning at Mamamia, something I’ve dreamed about for the longest time. The women that work here are so intelligent, strong and confident; you get inspired as soon as you walk into the office.

I also made plans with a few of my friends to do a road trip around NZ at the end of the year! I can’t wait to show them how beautiful the Hobbit-land is.

Worst:

My best friend from NZ rang me in tears to say that her beloved cat, Shadow, had been put down. It was heartbreaking to hear how upset she was and know that there was nothing I could do. It’s moments like those I wish teleportation was a thing that existed.

Enough from me. What’s going on in your world?

Laura is a final year Journalism student at the University of New South Wales. Her two loves are writing and travelling. She is filled with wanderlust and cannot wait to see every inch of this planet. In her spare time she likes to cross-stitch while watching re-runs of Gossip Girl. Best: managed to get my study done for the week.
Best 2: My toddler loves going to daycare more days
Worst: Daycare germs. Currently watching movies with a sick 2yr old who is refusing my attempts to reduce his discomfort.
Worst 2: Bub has a cow milk and soy protein intolerance and the restrictions on my diet caused a dip in my supply (I've been struggling to eat as it is)

OMM: I hope my kids never doubt that I love them

Best: Because of the way our working week is I ended up having four days off this week.
Worst: My mum's been in America for 6 weeks and it's still another 8 days before she's home.
