Best and worst bits of the week

Mamamia 3.0

We have had time to step away from squashing bugs to bring you you the stories we know you are talking about from to  to one woman’s view on the niqaab.

We discussed sperm tests, the and chatted about the, we even had a go at deciphering our own and our decisions to

The comments on the  post kept us feeling relatively sane. But only relatively.

We have explored Cinderella, pondered why you would and er, kept ourselves fresh with

Your finds have enthralled us and so have the realities of your relationships.

But now it’s time to relax, unwind and unload with our best and worst.  Mia is away so we will just go ahead without her (while secretly willing her back because we miss her)

Lana

Best – the new site.  I love the site, I think it looks great and I am so excited and proud to be a part of it along with every single one of you!

Worst – trying to balance school holidays with work.  And a sick child to boot

Nicky

Best – I was treated to a relaxing, luxurious facial after work this week.

Worst – My skin reacted to the products used in the facial and now my rosacea is back and I have angry red, puffy, itchy skin.

Rick

Best – The launch of the new website, of course. Also, one of my greatest friends Seema announced her engagement to her long time boyfriend and I was SO HAPPY. They are the perfect couple and now I get to study to become a Celebrant so I can marry them next year. That brings my total number of weddings in 2012 to three. Bring it on.

Worst – I still have no Internet set up at home. I know, funny right, I work for a website! Laugh it up, laugh it up. My iPhone is getting quite the work out.

Nat

Best – The endless supply of chocolate eggs and hot cross buns at my house, I love Easter

Worst – I don’t like the cold. Not one bit

What were your best and worst bits of the week?

Nothing has really been so bad to call a worst this week. Still feeling a bit under the weather and 3 kids at home this week has not been as enjoyable as I had hoped. yes enjoying the sleep ins but the house has been severly trashed due to my lack of energy to keep on top of things and i feel like i am going backwards not forward!!!

Best, Got the kids out of the house on friday for a class playdate and it was fantastic. so great to get them out and run off some steam! It was a lovely day too.
another highlight was when a friend of mine asked if I wanted my son to be used as a model for a friend of hers clothing label. it was only for beanies for their new winter range but i loved the beanie and he got to keep it. The photo's turned out great, i was so worried because of course on the day he woke up feeling and looking miserable!!!
I've never been interested in having my kids join a modeling agency. i did a bit when I was younger and am not too keen on them learning about rejection so young. But maybe after yesterdays photoshoot i have changed my mind? Or is it definately a no no? has any one done this with their kids? what are your experiences?

Gorgeous photos! I can't give you advice on the modelling agency thing. You know your kids, and whether they will cope with it or not.

No is he not weraing make up he is an 18 month old baby boy. he is teething and therefor had the telltale rosy cheeks and he just has amazing eyelashes, so not fair, its always the boys with amazing eyelashes :)
Also i played around with the exposure which maybe made it look like he was wearing makeup?? But I can promise you there is no make up unless you call sorboline cream make up on his face or any where else on his body.

Best: I had a job interview yesterday. I really want to break away from my current job, and actually found one at my level that was willing to consider my working part time.

Worst: I really want the job I interviewed for, but they told me it will take ages to make a decision. I hate waiting. I hate waiting so much I made up a song called "I hate waiting" and I sing it at the traffic lights. My sons love it. I still hate waiting, but at least I have a song...

OMM: Can we afford the $14k pay cut if I get the new job?

That's funny about the song! Good luck with the job chellebelle. I have no idea about your circumstances of course, but I think many people would be amazed how little they really need :)
