How Bella Hadid avoided a wardrobe malfunction in THAT dress.

It’s been a whirlwind week for model of the moment, Bella Hadid.

Last weekend she arrived in Sydney for 24 hours to appear in Misha Collection’s resort ’17 show at fashion week, a gig where she pocketed a rumoured $400k. Then flew to France to make an appearance at the Cannes Film Festival.

So, you know, just your average work week.

It was her appearance at the Cannes Film Festival where the 19-year-old floored the internet. Hadid arrived to the Unknown Girl premier wearing a daring Alexandre Vauthier red silk gown, complete with a waist-high split, backless top and an impossibly-deep v neck.

Yet, like magic, there were no nip slips to be seen. And now we know why.

While the rest of the world wondered what would have happened when a breeze kicked up, Hadid knew her look  would stay PG due to a carefully-placed bodysuit hidden under the creation.

Speaking to Vanity Fair, Hadid's stylist, Elizabeth Sulcer said, "The dress has a built-in silk bodysuit. Top-stick [tape] is always a good idea. Practice makes perfect."

"We knew we wanted to create something really beautiful and iconic in collaboration with Alexandre Vauthier. He is an amazing friend and talent in the industry." Sulcer said that every aspect of the dress was planned. When fitting the dress, Sulcer made Hadid practice walking around it is so they could make sure every angle was covered.

"You have to consider everything. A fitting is not the same as wearing the dress. Bella is smart and confident, and we knew she could wear that dress," Sulcer told Vanity Fair.

Hadid, younger sister of fellow model, Gigi Hadid and daughter of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, Yolanda Hadid started working with  Sulcer on her Canne's looks 'a long time ago'.

"Bella and I are very focused and organised. We start talking about ideas and how we want her to look on the red carpet very early. It takes time to create a strong look and vision."

All that time certainly paid off, Hadid's dress is already iconic and sure to go down in Cannes' fashion history.

Clearly the dress wasn't that well planned. She has to stop and adjust it every 3 steps. Impractical and trashy. The laughs of the other guests as they walk past her says it all.

She looks great. At 19, you can get away with wearing a sack. I say enjoy it! One day you might be 29, post baby, post breastfeeding looking like death warmed up :(
