Bec Judd refuses to toe the line when it comes to pregnancy 'rules'.

The list of food no-nos for pregnant women seems to get longer and longer every year. But Bec Judd isn’t having a bar of it.

While she subscribed to the so-called ‘rules’ with her first child, Oscar, the 33-year-old presenter, model and blogger decided to relax them this time around for her unborn twins.

“I’m not worried about raw fish and soft cheese, not when they’re sourced from Aussie suppliers,” she told New Idea. “I’m careful about shopping for those types of food, but I know pasteurised foods are fine.”

The Melbourne-based mum of two came to the decision after several discussions with her obstetrician, saying she now feels completely comfortable with her choice.

“I had oysters from Aptus Seafoods in South Melbourne [recently], and they’re the best in the country,” she said. “I’m careful with it, I’m not stupid.”

The issue is a divisive one, as the comments on New Idea’s Facebook post demonstrated.

Several followers expressed their concern that Judd is putting her unborn bub at risk.

However, others were quick to defend her and her right to choose what she consumes while expecting.

Regardless, we can't wait to see those twinning little bubs when they join the Judds in October.

Lets be honest. This woman's opinion should come with a warning. She is the epitome of what is harming women. 100% focus on vanity, women's bodies for entertainment etc. If you can't put your unborn babies first then don't bother being pregnant. Seriously, if you can't go without dieting, soft cheese and other high risk food for 9 months then get a surrogate.

What is this "high risk food"? Do you actually know of the risks? You assume that people who eat soft cheese (shock horror) when pregnant are ignorant and need to be told so by you. So, should you also not fly, not cross the road, not drive, not argue with anyone (in case you raise your blood pressure). Any other must have rules? Clearly, you are the ultimate arbiter of what is putting your baby first so please enlighten us all on all the rules we must follow when pregnant. Or, how about let people be in charge of their own choices about their own bodies. Choices have consequences and the consequences of other people's choices are nothing to do with anyone but them.

I didn't drink alcohol or too much caffeine but other than that I ate pretty much anything. I was careful to eat fresh and well prepared food. Each to their own though. "Listeria hysteria" was my approach.

Yeah me too - I looked at the stats and it was SO minimal. I ate everything and anything - sushi, oysters, pate, aioli, unpasteurised cheese....just no alcohol.
