Anti-vaxxers come up with their most abhorrent lie yet.

Well, they’ve done it. The anti-vaccination lobby has come up with their most abhorrent lie yet.

The following exchange comes from former Australian Vaccination Network president and continued anti-vaccination advocate Meryl Dorey’s appearance at the You Can Heal Yourself Expo on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.

Dorey spoke at the expo without any mention of the Health Care Complaints Commission’s public health warning against the organsation she previously headed.

She did so without disclosing the fact that her arguments are based on bogus science and that many argue the position of the AVN has and will continue to cost lives.

In her presentation, Dorey spoke about Shaken Baby Syndrome. She says that the syndrome is caused by vaccinations and is used to frame parents who have not been violent towards their children.

Via Reasonable Hank:

Questioner: Yeah, hi. I was wondering with the SIDS: I’ve heard that a lot of fathers, and sometimes mothers, have been jailed for, I guess, [it] being said that they caused the deaths from shaking while their babies were sleeping or something. Because the vaccinations actually cause bruises as well as instant death. Do you have any statistics on that, or something?

Meryl: I don’t have statistics. But there is a book we carry. It’s called Sudden Infant Death. I can never remember the whole name, it’s quite long, it’s written by Harold Buttram who’s an MD, a GP who has been studying this for a long time and he has actually engaged an engineer of some kind, a mechanical engineer I think, to test what sort of force is needed to shake a baby in order to cause brain damage and bleeding behind the eyes, which are basically the symptoms they look at in shaken babies. And it is impossible, according to this expert, it is impossible to shake a baby hard enough to cause that sort of damage without breaking their neck.

I mean even if you hold the baby’s head and body at the same time and shake them, the neck has to break. So Shaken Baby Syndrome again, like SIDS, is a waste basket. It is a way of blaming the family for what may have been caused by the medical community. And bleeding behind the eyes, retinal bleeding is something that has been known to follow vaccination, it has been known to follow hypoxia or lack of oxygen.

There are so many things that can cause that symptom and in Australia there is a doctor by the name of Archie K who also put a lot of those symptoms they’re looking at with shaken baby down to lack of Vitamin C. He even believed that vaccinations caused a deficit of Vitamin C and [that] would cause the bruising and the broken bones that a lot of people were seeing in their babies, as well.

Yeah, Shaken Baby Syndrome is being used, so is Munchausen’s Syndrome by Proxy.

Dorey completely trivialises the real and horrific tragedy that is violence against infants in the promotion of her pseudo-scientific cause. Even though significant and important government action has been taken against anti-vaccination advocates, their misleading and dangerous hocus-pocus continues to be spread to unsuspecting parents within the Australian community.

The spiel above is completely unfounded, untrue and distressing for many parents.

Dorey really could have stopped at “I don’t have statistics”.

Please share this post and join us in condemning the dangerous actions of the anti-vaccination movement.

Oh. My. God. Is she actually for real?!!! I can see a whole heap of defense lawyers jumping on this one for future cases of child abuse. Her rambling answer makes me furious just reading the sheer stupidity of it!

That's awful but makes sense. The industry would do something as disgusting as blaming the parents to protect their billions. Poor poor babies. Why people want to poison them I'll never understand. The best thing we can do is keep spreading awareness and one day they'll wake up. Then people will wonder how it was ever legal to do this to children. The same as so many potions throughout history. But unfortunately while there's money to be made. ....

"That's awful but makes sense."

Sure, because no adult would ever shake a baby to death. They're all too nice - except pharmaceutical workers, of course. They're horrid and wouldn't get out of bed in the morning if they're were no babies left to kill.

I guess all these one-punch deaths and mass shootings we keep seeing in the news are also just cover-ups for what is really latent vaccine damage. Obviously no person who works outside of medical science would ever knowingly hurt another person. I believe covert human sacrifice is actually an elective in third-year medical school. Iread it somewhere, so it must be true. And big-pharma denies it - so it must be truer.

Makes sense (Alf)*.

*"Alf" was added as a form of super-secret code, for the in-crowd. If you don't get it, you really should do your research.

Please forgive the typos in my earlier reply, for my fingers no not what they do.
