Ariana Grande's concert raised an extraordinary amount of money for Manchester victims.

Two weeks after her May 22 concert was bombed by a terrorist, leaving 22 people dead and over 100 injured, 23-year-old singer Ariana Grande returned to Manchester for a benefit concert.

While Ariana and her celebrity friends – including Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Robbie Williams and Justin Bieber – showed the city and the world that love conquers all, there was another purpose behind the One Love Manchester show.

Proceeds from the show’s tickets sales, and money raised throughout the show would be donated to the British Red Cross to help the victims and families of those affected by the attack.

So, how much money did the show end up raising?

According to a tweet from British Red Cross, an incredible AU$4 million was raised during the event itself…and that’s not including proceeds from ticket sales and from the sale of Ariana’s One Last Time, which has been re-released as a charity single.

The Manchester Evening News reports that a staggering AU$17 million has been raised for the families of those affected by the May 22 attack.

The target was reached by thousands of generous organisations and people giving to the fund, which was set up in the hours immediately following the attack on Manchester Arena.
