She was most famous for role as the lovable Alice in the original cast of the Brady Bunch.

TMZ are reporting that Davis fell in her bathroom this morning, hit her head, and suffered a subdural hematoma. Tragically, she just never regained consciousness.

Having parents that worked full time I was often babysat (childminded???) by our television and so Alice was every part of my childhood as she was the Brady kids. Her lines were often the funniest, even though often they were also the corniest.

That's why, as Louise Higgins already wrote earlier today, "Oh, Alice" was so prevalent on the show. Believe it or not Alice (the character) was well versed in dad jokes. I blame her for many of mine told at inopportune times.
