How Brad Pitt honoured Angelina Jolie's mother at their wedding.

When Angelina Jolie walked down the aisle last weekend, she must have thought of her mother.

The absence of The Mother of The Bride is always heartbreaking at a wedding. Jolie’s mother, Marcheline Bertrand, died in 2007 from ovarian cancer.

But Brad Pitt found a beautiful way to honour Marcheline’s memory. He had her name and a tribute etched into the walls of Chateau Miraval.

“Brad had a dedication to Marcheline engraved inside the chapel where we stood,” Jolie tells PEOPLE. The couple also stood on a stone at the altar that had a tribute etched into it.

This, and the way Angelina’s dress was decorated with her children’s drawings, certainly made the Jolie-Pitt ceremony an extremely sentimental one.

Beautifully done, beautiful people.

Here’s some more pictures of these beautiful people.

I like how they sell these pictures and give all the procedes to charity (wedding pics/baby pics etc). On a totally superficial note: Her hands are so bony, she looks skeletal skinny. Not a fan of the dress.

Brangelina give me the 'Pitts'! It's not them personally but the whole media contingent who have put them on a pedestal. Why is everything they do deemed to be perfect? Someone else posted that they are cementing great values in their kids but do you remember how they got together in the first place while he was still married. Angelina admitted it when she said that not many kids can see a movie where their parents fell in love. Yes, they do a lot of great humanity work but can we stop treating them like they are holier than thou. Rant over....

They didn't get together like that, there was no affair that was made apparent a long time ago. And Angelina said that their children could see where their parents fell in love, got married and tried to kill each other. In other words, she was talking about the characters John and Jane Smith who were hired assassins in Mr & Mrs Smith. She wasn't talking about them themselves.
