Poehler was appearing as a guest on comedian Neal Brennan’s new show, “The Approval Matrix”.
As their conversation unfolded, Brennan started to complain about the trials of being a modern man.
He said: “Being cool is, like, passé. And now you have to be awkward and adorable.”
After a brief pause, Poehler looks him square in the eye and says:
“Well, this feeling you’re having every day – which is like, “I’m supposed to be all things” – is a feeling that women have every day and have their whole lives. So you’re just starting to experience it now.”

Really? Of all the amazing things Amy Poehler is and has done, the one thing you mention is that she's Tina Fey's friend? How about applauding her achievements. There's a FB page called Amy Poehler's Smart Girls which has over 530,000 likes and applauds and promotes amazing girls and women and their achievements. As a site that I LOVE as being one that represents women, and doesn't just portray them in relation to a man, isn't it fairly similar to mention her connection to Fey in order to give context? Just my two cents.

Given the general tone of comments here, I'm wondering in what way Poehler's "one-liner" (not really a one-liner at all) was "perfect". It seems more like it was ill-considered and sexist, dare I say "misandrist" in as much as she dismissed men's concerns as irrelevant.
I'm not sure Amy Poehler wants to be every woman's best friend because she is Tina Fey's best friend. She is so much more than that and so much more than this line. She is a very intelligent, articulate, talented, funny woman in her own right.
