There’s been a lot of bad news of late, and this beautiful little story restored our faith in humanity.
Following his random act of kindness, National Patient Transport Services officer Marc Primrose is being called Australia’s kindest man.
The Whittlesea Leader reports Marc Primrose found a parking ticket in the ambulance he used to transport a patient.
The $129 parking fine, belonged to Mrs Rosemary Morgan – whose mother Doreen who had recently been transferred from a palliative care hospital to her Melbourne home, where she later died.
Mrs Morgan had accidentally left the ticket in the ambulance. However, sensing the grief Mrs Morgan and her family would be suffering, Mr Primrose immediately decided to pay the fine himself. He then left a note explaining his actions and included details of the payment.
Mr Primrose told The Whittlesea Leader: “It was my instinct not to just let this go because someone would have ended up with late fees and I didn’t want that to happen.”
The family had been by their mother’s bedside all day in Palliative care when they incurred the parking ticket.
Mrs Morgan described Marc Primose’s random act of kindness as “amazing”, helping her family and herself get through this testing time.

The world has many wonderful people in it! It's just that there is so much bad news being reported these days that stories like this seem rare and isolated. Will we ever have a 6pm news bulletin with no heavy, horrible stories?
